Cathy's Vision

KIWANIS
As the number of Kiwanians working closely together increases, their value to the community increases exponentially. We need to sell the sizzle and provide professional development for leadership. We need to realize that attitude can make the difference between success and failure. We need to reconfigure everything for the electronic age, not only to reach our youngest members but also to increase the level of involvement between all members.
RETAIN
MEMBERS
The critical decision for any new member comes one year after they join. They reflect on the value they have received. The odds are, if they have been involved and we have kept their interest, they will renew year after year. We need to foster, value, and involve new members to make them raving fans.
FOCUS ON
CHILDREN
One of the things that distinguishes Kiwanis from other service organizations is our service to children. It is important that we expand upon that legacy with a strong focus on children from birth to age 5. Those years are the most important for proper brain development, and Kiwanians and Kiwanis clubs need to focus on projects and programs that can help at-risk children during those years.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS
Many youth do not have the opportunity to participate in leadership development. Kiwanis helps sponsored leadership program members become exceptional adults. In today's world, it's clear: more of our youth need this opportunity. Closer interaction between our youth programs and Kiwanis clubs will enhance their environment and the community.
